Tara Terribile
Tara Terribile brings more than two decades of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for animal science to the Vet Assist Program at West Broward High School.
Ms. Terribile graduated from the University of Florida in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, specializing in Equine Science. She continued her education at UF, earning a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medical Science.
Before beginning her teaching career, Ms. Terribile managed a breeding farm and equine veterinary practice in North Carolina, gaining valuable hands-on experience in animal care and veterinary medicine. In 2000, she returned to Florida and began her career as a mathematics teacher in Broward County.
When the Vet Assist Program was established in 2008, Ms. Terribile became part of its foundation and has been dedicated to the program ever since. Her unique combination of academic knowledge, veterinary experience, and passion for teaching has helped shape the program and inspire generations of students.
Ms. Terribile teaches our Vet 1, Vet 4/5, and Vet 6 students.
Becca Rogers
Becca Rogers brings extensive hands-on veterinary experience and a passion for animal care to the Vet Assist Program at West Broward High School.
Ms. Rogers graduated from Barry University and has spent many years working as a Veterinary Assistant in both general practice and emergency medicine. Her professional experience has given her a strong foundation in veterinary care, along with a particular passion for animal behavior and critical care.
Ms. Rogers continues to work part-time in the veterinary field, allowing her to stay current with industry practices, sharpen her skills, and bring real-world knowledge directly into the classroom. Her students benefit from the practical experience and expertise she shares so enthusiastically, helping them better understand what it takes to succeed in the veterinary profession.
Ms. Rogers teaches our Vet 1, Vet 2/3, and Vet 6 students, where she is dedicated to preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to pursue careers working with animals.
